24 peaks in 24 hours
Welcome, I am Mick Thornton
.M& E Team leader for british waterways in the north east, I am glad to see that there is still
some of you that hasn’t grown up yet and still like to get out there and take
in this beautiful countryside, I’ve spent many a time walking these
hills/mountains and sometimes just taking in the spectacular views just by
sitting and watching the views change be it the change of weather or the time
of day. I just sit back and think how lucky i am to be able to get up to these
heights, then start to think about the people that can’t get up here either
through an illness or something has happened in their lives which is now
stopping them missing out in what i sometimes think we take for granted. So I
thought i would take this opportunity to invite you in aiding me in a little
fund raising. Don’t be afraid just get out there. My thinking is simple:
live life to the max and then some
more. Here are my
colleagues who are going to keep me company on this challenge. The walks are to
take place on the 21st and 22nd of May 2011.
The charities I hope to help are,

or
And

I am not a zebra fish so i will do the next best thing, raise
money to help.
Both of which i think we all have some
kind of connection in one way or another.
